I have a situation where I need to identify all files on my computer that
have .ftw suffix. Is there a recommended way on how to do this? I have tried
a manual search, but I have a lot of files! Any thoughts?

By "manual search" do you mean you are looking through folders manually? If
so, use search (Windows Logo key + F) and type in *.ftw in the search box.

A very easy way to do this is to download and install Agent Ransack, a free
and fast search utility.
http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/

Once it's installed, open Explorer and the Folder view. Right-click on the
root of the drive and choose Agent Ransack, which the AR installer gives
you.

Enter *.ftw as the search term, and click Start. If you have more than
one drive, at the right end of the "look in" field, click on the down arrow
and choose "local hard drives".

This will very quickly - much faster than the Windows functions - provide
you with a list of any and all FTW files.
