I have read some posts how to fix this but nothing works. I have backe
up my computer to a dvd disc But I need to know (in simple terms please
how to reduce or clear that recovery D: of all the stuff in there as
am fed up of keep getting a message on the monitor that D: drive i
full. I only use the computer for home use and there is plenty of roo
on my C: drive....Help please. :confused

What is the make and model number of your computer?

ONE: even if you don't keep D, you should make sure you've created
recovery disks using the material in that partition.

NOW... here's how to disable that message:

I have tried what the instructions say but the message (d: full) stil
comes up,even after restar

well r u telling programs to install on d that's a recovery portion

Cut it with the texting abbreviations here. And learn to capitalize
and punctuate while you're at it.

what have you added to the recovery partition?
generally it doesn't have a lot of additional room beyond the recovery files
and it isn't a good idea to put a bunch of stuff on there anyway.
if you have added anything to D, move it to the C drive and leave what Dell
put on there.

I have not put anything on aprtition D: drive as I did not even kno
what it was for until I started having this proble
