Recycle Bin Annoyance

For some reason, my Recycle Bin doesn't show empty after I empty it unless I
refresh the screen or reboot the machine. I've checked to see if the correct
icon is assigned to it when it's empty and it is correct. Is there something
I can do to fix this irritation?
