To restore the Recycle Bin to the desktop in Vista Home Premium, righ
click on an empty space on the desktop and select Personalise. The
click on Change Desktop Icons and put the tick back against the recycl
bin icon!

I've accidentally deleted my Recycle Bin several times over the year
so I've had to learn how to restore it! LO
