Recycle Bin not fixed

Good day everyone ...

Like so many other idiots I deleted the Recycle Bin, and I have applied the
Microsoft "fix" for this and it's back on the desktop and operating.
HOWEVER, when you empty the recycle bin the icon does NOT switch to the
empty basket until you reboot.

I have also done the restore icons to default and all of that. Any other
ideas on how to get this back to working properly, aside from rebuilding the
whole thing?

THANKS!!

in windows7 they have corrected the misleading design prone to creating
human error and deleting the recycle bin.

I would like to see that fixed in vista service pack 2. But for the time
being see this tip>>>>

Make sure that hidden files and system files are visible using folder
options icon on the classic control panel and then go and delete
the $RECYCLE.BIN folder on each drive- partition you have.

tell me if this helps
