I have posted this before.

I have a habit to see the date of delete of the files in recycle bin before
i permanently erase them.
Each time i open the recycle bin folder, the right pane view is always in
Tiles mode, even i have changed it to Details mode.

Vista has totally no memory about this. That is not something very difficult
but i do not know why xp can do it, but vista cant !

Tell me if it can.

Hello CragTheCode

There's no need to edit the registry. You can use the download i
METHOD TWO to do everything in the manual section automatically

Hope this helps

Normally if you set the folder view how you like it from the locatio
that you opened the Recycle Bin from and close the window, it shoul
open the same way as it was last closed from that location. Eac
location (ex: open from desktop vs navigation pane) will have it's ow
folder view setting

It should affect the Recycle Bin as well. As a test, open the Recycl
Bin from each location (ex: Desktop, Navigation Pane, etc...) that yo
find it at (one location at a time) and set it to Details view and clos
the window. It should by default open to that same setting. At least i
does for me

Make sure that hidden files and system files are visible using folder
options icon on the classic control panel and then go and delete
the $RECYCLE.BIN folder on each drive- partition you have.

tell me if this helps
