RED round X marks on EXE files in shared folders????

why is this? is MS blocking some programs I am trying to send to someone
via shared folders?

If so how do I fix this horrible MS thing...

It will only block access to them if you haven't unticked the option in
Tools > Options > File Transfer > Automatically reject file transfers for
known unsafe file types. The round x marks that you are seeing are purely
warnings that the file could potentially be unsafe, that's all.

Both computers have the option you noted off.
That was the first thing I checked....
Also file scan is enabled with avast antivirus.

That is strange as I'm sure I've sent exe files before in the shared folder;
in fact, I'm certain of it... Most odd.

Im experiencing this too. I guess the option in file transfer that has to be
unchecked only controls the direct file sending and not the shared
folders....
