Red vertical line on monitor

All of the sudden a red line appeared on my monitor. Rebooting has no effect
on line. Occaisionally the line is gone but then reappears. Suggestions?

Almost certainly a hardware problem - try swapping monitors first, if the
problem stays witht he current boix, then get the Video Card checked out, or
swap with another to test.
