The Red " x " box

I'm not sure I'm at the right place. For what ever reason that little red
box indicating a picture shows up a lot on web sites.
Even Microsoft Web Sites. I'm not sure if it's a security setting, and if
it is just what I adjust. Or some other setting I have wrong.
Any help will be appreciated..... tks Izod
