I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit on a HP Desktop.

I use dial up and the 2 computer screens in the system tray always sho
a RED X and says Not Connected to a network when I am actuall
connected. Is this normal? If not, how can I correct this

Hi,dial u

First open... control panel.....Network and internet.......network and sharing centre.....

on left hand side.... Manage network connection open it.

There are two name first ...local area connection....second...wireless network connection.

If you use local area connection so right click on wireless network and disable it.
If you use wireless network so right click on local area connection and disable it.

Now see your Red icon "x" is gone...means its connected icon....enjoy
