Hi, I want to reformat my computer.
I have the vista boot disc, home premium 64 bit.
My computer is a custom made
Intel2 Duo Core E8500 8 Gig ram
Running on Vista.
errors
When I install vista, after restarting the computer with the boot disc
inside, I go to the C drive install at the advance or custom
installation option.
It does NOT show the format option at all.
another error.
I tried creating a new partition, but for some reason. The most i can
get on a new drive is 1504mb. I MEAN WTF.
So yeah.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
and sorry im a lil new to the forum and to windows vista.
PLUS, if im in the wrong section, then sorry, new to the forum.
if i need to include any extra details please ask.
I`m desperate.

Additional Details;
I want to Format my main C drive, the only drive I have, and install
vista after that.
So basically, I want my computer like I just got it, All new, Vista on
it.
and ready for me to make a new account and stuff.
THANK YOU

Check if large memory is enabled in the Bios first and then post back with answer.
Is your Bios the latest version available .We will then continue to next step.

Hi, I'm getting another error.
It seems that when I startup, it gets stuck on the black intel screen
I has the intel logo on the bottom right, and a text saying
Press DEL to run Setup, Press Tab to display post BIOS message.
It freezes.
And another question, my computer isin't factory distributed, so I
don't get the DELL screen that comes with the BIOs Options menu.
It shows the Yellow AI Logo when it starts up, then the logo flashes.
Sorry, I'm not really good with computers.

BIOs on my desktop or something.

The MVP (THE C [ MS MVP ] ) wanabee will be along shortly and will answer your
question on your issue. He will give you a very good explanation as to the problem.
He is very smart and I am also waiting with a baited breath to see his answer to you
