Reformating when XP boot disc dont work

When I try to reformat using the boot disc it will not allow me to use it
because i have XP 64 on there wont let me go back to normal XP. so i guess i
need to jsut wipe the drive and then install the system setup disc that came
with comp, caiuse will not work with xp 64 on comp
