Good evening all,

Now I have a problem. My stupid machine will not install any of the updates
that it has down loaded in the last few weeks.

(and before you ask, yes I do have a valid Windows installation, I had to
buy the software as I couldn't face the thought of running 'pirate' software
any more!!)

I have managed in the past to insatll some of the updates but it would seem
that my system has now decided that it will just not do any more.

Any suggestions please.

Thanks,

Andrew.

On the WU Website, select your history of updates - now click on failed update
(red mark) and see if there is an error code.
If there is an error code, write it down and post back or in the alternative, do
a search for the error code.

You Cannot Install Some Updates or Programs

TaurArian,

What do you do if there is not an error code? I get an error that says a
system problem is preventing the installation of the update, but no error
code.

Thanks for your help!

1. Start you own thread
2. Check your Windows Update Log for clues

Start, Run, Type: %windir%\windowsupdate.log

Check if there is anything like error messages in the log referring to the
updates you're trying to install.
