Regarding the infamous "disappearing contact list" problem, I just wanted to
add more data... if you wait long enough, people will eventually write to
you even though it says they're not on your list.

In other words, you are showing for everyone... and can receive msgs from
them... you just can't initiate anything or see your list.

Hope this helps Microsoft solve the issue.

Even more data...

Something worth noting is that when someone initiates a chat with you (as
you are logged in without a contact list and just sitting there), you cannot
see their picture in the conversation window. You get the default blue MSN
guy as their picture.

Greetings,

People have been seeing this all day. I think something is busted (just guessing at this
point though).

Dear All
All the behaviour above described also you may add that when you add
manually some one that is connected and then try to start the chat it says
that this person is in your blocked list, when you click to allow it says
that isn't in your contact list and show a link to add to your contact list,
by clicking there it adds into your contact list but not in the original
group.
Hope some one find a solution soon.
Thks

Ok i been reading all this ... I did not have this problem before i had my
motherboard fixed .... spy sweeper put into my computer and 2 anti virus
thingys ... I'm having a feeling this could be a settings problem for people
?? Just a guess cuz i was fine before spy sweeper and zone alarm and
symantec anti virus .. I e-mailed Jonathankay so we will see what happens !
Hopefully its something simple for all of us.. Lets hope !
