I've no idea how this has happened but it seems Regedit has disappeared from
my computer entirely. I also noticed Notepad had disappeared a couple weeks
ago. Not sure what is causing this as neither my anti-virus program nor my
spyware program are detecting anything. Regardless, I really need to know
how to reinstall regedit.

quick info:

Windows Vista 64 SP1

How do you know they're gone?

How do you know? How and where have you looked for it?

Same questions as above: How do you know? How and where have you
looked for it?

What anti-virus and anti-spyware programs do you run? Are they up to
date? If Regedit is truly gone, it's very likely that the problem was
caused by a malware infection.
