Tried putting SP2 in?
You can also download critical updates here

You may have noticed from this group and others that Windows Update
(WGA) has turned into a total disaster. I have had trouble with one
machine out of 7 guess I got lucky, I did a repair install on it to
fix it but it was SP2 not SP1 although that should not make any
difference. Point is time is money and I don't appreciate having
either of mine wasted further by yet another ill thought through M$
cock up.
If the people posting here are having trouble with the new WGA the
rest of the world must be in very deep trouble. M$ had better get this
sorted pretty quick, I doubt anybody with unlicensed copies of Windows
are much surprised but the millions of legit users are being caused a
lot of grief.
Class Action?........................................... ........8-)
Conversion to Mac or Linux is looking more and more cost effective
daily.
