Registration key on task bar

*Vista 64bit OM, since last microsoft upgrade the registration key show
up in task bar when booting. It doesn't stay long and disappears. I hav
not gotten the microsoft warning that I might be running illega
software. Any feedback welcome.

Microsoft has an update called Genuine Microsoft Software and if you
have your updates to automatically update then the odds are it is
installed. Go to add/remove programs, check the box that says to show
updates, locate this update and remove it.

This is another way of Microsoft controlling what we have on our
computers. I do not have my updates set to automatic. I set them to
download and notify me so I can choose what I do and do not want to
install.
