Registry problem after installing Service Pack 2 - please help!

I rebuilt my PC yesterday. After successfully installing all the updates
(including Service Pack 2), I am now getting a strange Registry error when I
restart and things come back up.

I am not at the machine just now - but the error message that pops up is
similar to:

"A Registry file was missing and could not be loaded. The file was replaced
from a log or Registry backup/copy. Recovery was successful."

This happens EVERY single time I reboot, after Windows loads up.

What do I need to do to fix this so things are "normal" again?

It was a completely clean install of WinXP on a newly formatted hard disk. I
will attempt to do the registry fix in that article - but I'm not sure what
to do if I get stuck...
