reinstalling video codecs for vista

I am having problems with windows media center crashing while playing
live tv. I read that reinstalling vista's video codes might help so I
want to do so. I have the vista cd that came with my computer. How do
I reinstall just the codecs?

I tend to use this:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...ec_Package.htm

Have yet to encounter a file it couldn't play, does all the downloaded
Google Video and YouTube ones as well.

Not tried on LiveTV though.

You can't reinstall just the codecs.

You can download third party codec packs but my advice is to only
install the codecs you need rather than a whole lot in one go.

Vista does not have the ability to do selection from the DVD. It installs
as and image.
