reinstalling xp pro

Forgot my password and think that I need to do a clean install of xp. How do
I get the disc to run ,ie start installing.

You don't need a password if your intent is to perform a "clean install".

You should not need to reinstall Windows XP if you lost the password:

Or if you need to install Windows for another reason, you do not need the
Windows password.

If you are referring to the BIOS password, that has nothing to do with
Windows.
Instead that has to do with your motherboard.
Check your motherboard/computer manual and.or contact the manufacturer for
details of the BIOS password.

Try windowsxp.general or newusers or basics - with all the update probs
around at the moment it is very likely your request for help will be
ignored.
