the pagefile was relocated to another drive

i cannot reboot the server during the office hour to make the new pagefile
effective

so i remotely boot it at mid-night at home by (shutdown -r -t 0 -m \\xxx)

the server is rebooted.

but by reference to the date of old & new pagefiles, the system is still
using the old pagefile

Secondly, i cannot delete the old pagefile

is it necessary that i have to stay with the server to shutdown for making
the new pagefile effective

thanks.

tony

A boot is a boot is a boot, no matter which way you do it. You must now
check two things:
1. Are your paging file settings the way you want them to be?
2. Did you really reboot the server? This command will tell you:
net statistics server
