I had DFS working for a while and wacked it due to a few things with my
network. Now I'm trying to remake it but I keep getting a error that says
"The replication group can not be created. there are insufficient permissions
to creat the repolication group".. I'm logged in as the domain admin, domain
admin grp still is a memeber of the built in administrators group. so i guess
i don't know why its saying that.

Basicly I'm setting up replication for a share on my NYC server (file and
DC) to our File server in MN. The NYC server is a read only DC (08 stand.)
and file here is 08 as well. Even remade a namespace and it still wont work.

Utshost,
Do a net share and look for the old replication folders that you need to re
add/remake, if any folder still exists, make sure you deactivate replication
on it, and unshare it. the stop and restart you replication service and try
to add the shares and repl again
For the permission issue, did you use the same admin account to create those
dfs that you said it stop working?

Yea, I'm using the same admin accout to make them. its the domain admin
account. well i'm able to get passed namign the rep group, but now i get a
"the new objects GUID and USN properties cannot be queried. The object
doesn't exist." which it does im dropping files into right now.... on the
server in NYC i still get permission errors when making a rep group on that
one.... very odd stuff here.
