Remember My Password "forgets" my Password

Hi, I have clicked "Remember My ID and Password" nut my system appears to be
very arbitrary in remembering the User ID and / or the Password.
I thought I had checked all the correct boxes but it very arbitrary in what
it remembers and what it doesn't remember.
Any help would be appreciated.
