REMEMBER THE TIME???

Remember a long time ago... on a distant version of windows.... when
installing windows it had a HYPE screen saying

"YOUR COMPUTER WILL RUN FASTER AND WILL BE MORE RELIABLE!"

I wonder why they removed that from the VISTA installer?

Perhaps because it would read:

"YOUR COMPUTER WILL RUN FAR SLOWER AND YOU WILL SEE MORE BLUE SCREENS THAN
WIN95" ?

LOL!

Try running it on a computer that wasn't built for Windows 95. I think there
is where your problem is.

I am for Vista. I really like it, haven't had any problems with it at all.
However, I am not blinded by it and do realize that some people do have some
major problems with it. I would say that 90% of those problems are hardware
or user related. I like to help people out with problems, and am trying to
learn as much as I can about Vista (among other Microsoft OS's).

I would hope XP would run faster than Vista on the same hardware. After all,
it was developed some 8 years ago for the hardware of that era and has far
less overhead, just as Win95 had far lower requirements than it (and lots of
people at the time claimed XP was a dog - wanna guess why?). You need to run
Vista on the hardware that it was designed for.

XP was released oct 2001, almost 2002

thats more like 6 years

Vista is far more bloated than anyone expected in all ways...

> You need to run Vista on the hardware that it was designed for.

HOGWASH!!!! TELL MICROSOFT THAT!

I must remind you the requirments to install vista according to MS?

Windows Vista minimum supported system requirements
Home Basic / Home Premium / Business / Ultimate
800 MHz processor and 512 MB of system memory
20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
Support for Super VGA graphics
CD-ROM drive

YEAH RIGHT!!!!

Microsoft should have FORCED its developers to work on THAT machine! lol

Really you should get an RSS program and start reading what people are
saying from various tech sites...

everyone is making fun of vista, or insulting it... your insult vocabulary
grow by reading the news about vista..
