Hi Folks,

Just wanted to let you know and invite you all to participate in a chat on
the newly released version of the Windows Update Site, v5. We'll have
members from the product team on hand to answer questions and discuss this
new site. The chat will be on Friday, September 10th, from 10:00 to
11:00am (pacific time). For more information on how to join see:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/com...s/default.mspx . Look
forward to "chatting" with you all then and in the meantime please feel free
to post any topics or particular areas of interest you'd like to discuss.

-thanks,

Eric

I would like to know if the two post-SP2 .NET updates are supposed to
be "automatically" downloaded and installed after you install SP2

I can find *nobody* that says they did automatically install.

So we are wondering if "automatically install at 3:00 a.m." is even
working at all at this point now that we have installed SP2...

Hi Steve,

These updates were not set to be offered through the Automatic Update
feature.

Thank you

OK -- if that's the case -- what is distinguishing what is being listed
in the "high priority" section of Windows Update v.5 as to what will be
"automatically downloaded" vs. what will not?

That's caused a great deal of confusion around here.
