Can I remotely access any of the files on my Windows Vista Ultimate computer
from any other computer with internet access?

Hi,

If they are shared properly, yes. Generally easiest to use the Public
folders for this, and select the appropriate settings in the Network and
Sharing Center. If your machine is behind a router, you may need to
additionally forward external requests to the correct internal IP using the
router's internal controls.

Depends, if you are running consumer versions of Windows Vista or XP such as
Home Basic, Home Premium or XP Home Edition it will be a bit difficult. You
will be able to access to access them in a help and support fashion using
the built in remote assistance. If you are setup in networked environment,
you might have options such as Virtual Private Network, if you are running
Vista Business, Enterprise or Ultimate or XP Professional, you should be
able to access your computer remotely by simply having Remote Desktop
enabled.
