Greetings,
Remote Assistance through a router requires Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) support. Without
UPnP, it will never connect.
You might consider abandoning this and using Windows Live SharedView instead:

You'll need to walk her through the install and sign in perhaps over the phone, but if she's
using Messenger, I think you'll be able to sort it out.
