Remote Assistance Will Not Connect

My father and I both have Microsoft Vista Home Premium. When he sends me a
Remote Assistance request via email and I open it, the program loads but
after a minute or so says it cannot connect. The Antivirus is turned off.
We even tried it with Microsoft Firewall turned off. Any ideas?
