Greetings Rob,
When it's not listed like that, it generally means that the registry entries for Remote
Assistance have been removed on your machine.
This problem shows up from time-to-time, so I really do suspect there's some application out
there which flags it as something bad or removeable (like a registry cleaner, which are
pieces of software that should be avoided).
Either way, shut down Messenger and then download and run the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...assistance.reg
Hopefully after starting Messenger after this, the option should become available to you.
