Remote desktop connection issues

I have a laptop from work with XP Professional on it. I would like to
connect to my desktop from it via VPN. I have set up my desktop at home and
can connect with no problems, but am having a hard time with the laptop. I
can't find the remote desktop anywhere on this thing. I have gone to
accessories under communication and it's not there. I have attempted to
reinstall it from microsoft and it tells me that it is already on the
computer. I know if is, because the previous user of this laptop logged into
her profile and it is there. Is there an easy way for me to set this up
properly without waiting until Monday and taking it to IT, I would love to
get some work done.

Hi,

In XP Pro, the remote desktop file is mstsc.exe, just type it into a
start/run box.
