I have been trying to get this up and running between two Vista machine
for a few weeks now and it is doing my head in.

Both machines are set to accept remote assistance and both firewall
are set to accept remote desktop.

Both machines are running Home Premium SP2.

Each time I try and connect from one to the other I just get an erro
after about a minute saying the remote computer cannot accep
connections and this is in either irection.

All machines in the house are connected through a ST585V7 running th
latest firmware with the firewall disabled.

Both machines in question are connected to the network via a Devol
Homeplug setup.

When I look on the net, I find stuff about RDP not working on Vista an
how to get around it but, if you see the following link:

I get the top part of the dialogue box but no "Remote Desktop" headin
or options.

Do I need to install something?

Home versions of Windows cannot host Remote Desktop connections - that
is, you can connect *from* Home versions, but you cannot connect *to*
Home versions of Windows.

You might try one of the VNC variants, UltraVNC seems to work well for
me.
