i don't care how people look at it, i don't care what remote desktop need to
run like a terminal service, it is a failure of microsoft parts, i tried
installing a terminal service and windows didn't even see it, and it's
nearly imposible to actually connect to a pc with remote desktop. i have to
use remote assistance to work on my server, because i can't stand the office
layout so i use R A to work from my laptop, only thing annoying is i have to
go to the server room twice, once to accept the connection, and again to
take control, it's kinda annoying. i wish remote desktop desktop worked for
all user home and bussiness and ultimate. what i meant by this is i wish you
could connect from the same or different version of windows, like for
example: home to home, or home to bussiness, or home to ultimate, etc

I don't think Remote Desktop is a failure... it works quite well.
But I do wish MS had included the server portion in all editions.

Well, its does, but it takes a small little setup before you can actually
connect to the Remote Computer from your desktop (Vista). Remember, there
are varied options now on the System Properties Remote (tab), to connect
Vista only PCs and All versions of Windows.
