Remote Desktop Issues

I have Vista Ultimate and when I configure multiple monitors on my Dell
Inspiron 6000, it works fine until I connect to my laptop via remote desktop
from Work. When I'm at work, I only have one desktop, but when I come home
at night and I log back into my PC it resets my display settings to the
Windows default, which is having the second monitor on the right of the first
monitor, when i have my positioned on the left. Is there a fix for this?
