remote sync(over network)

I have an old hp jornada 548 and activesync 3.8 and am trying to get them to
sync over my wifi network. The jornada's wifi does work fine and i have
established a partnership. When i go to connect over network connection it
just says locating pc connection agent(or something like that) then after a
while the messaege goes away however the connection was never made. My
firewall is set to allow activesync is there more i need to do?

Did you enter the desktop's IP address as the WINS server for the Jornada
548?

no, however it works fine with my jornada 728 just not with the 548.
Another quick question, what are the specs on the jornada 574/575 the specs
arent listed on HP
