I have a client that will have one laptop that will be moving back
and forth between LAN and not connected (home, out of town, etc...) I
have WSUS setup to not store updates locally (they will be downloaded
from Microsoft when needed). I have the WSUS site at
http://localhost:8530. What will happen when the user has the laptop
off site for a few days at a time? Will the Automatic Updates error
out? Something else? What if I open port 8530 on the router so that the
Laptop can access the WSUS site from the internet? Is this a bad
idea/good idea? Better yet, is there some better solution to this that
I'm not aware of or thinking of?
Your advice would be welcomed. Thank you.
