Hi

I want to administer DNS server installed on standalone 2008 R2 core
server from DNS Manager (RSAT) in Win 7.

I have disabled UAC on Win 7, Server and Client are in same workgroup,
have same administrative account (for example: Valiant) and same
password.

When I run DNS manager in Win 7 and enter IP address of DNS server I get
error: Access is denied.

I can connect with Server Manager from Win 7 RSAT into Core R2 server.
If I choose DNS from Role I've alse get same error: Access is denied.

What am I doing wrong here with my simple wish to administer remotely
DNS from GUI tool ?

Hello NVVN,

Did you enable remote administration on the server core machine:

Hi As I posted, I can connect with Server Manager, so remote
management is enabled on core machine.

If I disable firewall (all 3 mode) on core machine I can then connect
with DNS Manager console but can not connect anymore with Server Manager
