Windows Vista Home Basic...
In My Computer, I have 4 Removable Disks showing. I only have one HD and
one CD Rom Drive. What are these E: F: G: & H: drives? How do I get rid of
them
permanently?

Probably an flash cardreader. You will see some small slots
on the front of your computer.

Remove the drive letters permanentely:

Start -> Run
enter here
devmgmt.msc

Under 'Drives' you will find a device which has
'CardReader' or something similar in its name.
Right-click it -> deactivate.

I have 4 USB slots in the back, 2 in the front, yet I only see 4 Removable
Drives,
E:, F:, G: and H:.
When I plug a Flash Drive into one of the rear slots, it becomes Drive I:
I disabled those 4 with Device Manager and I no longer see the 4 Removable
Disks
in Computer. I was concerned that the USB slots would not be usable, but
plugging
in a Flash Drive, they still work, that drive still becomes I: drive. Whis
is OK.
Thanks
Earl

The USB ports do not show as removable drives. When you plug a device in,
such as a flash drive, the flash drive then shows up. The four removable
drives yuo always see are from your card reader - does your computer not
have a card reader?
