Removable drives not showing up in Windows Explorer unless I type their address

I have had this issue since I stupidly installed TweakVI a few weeks ago.
That program was uninstalled after about 15 minutes as it goobered up my
system pretty bad. Unfortunately, since I dual boot with XP I do not have
any restore points I can go back to. So now I am stuck with my removable or
DVD drives not showing up in Windows Explorer unless I type their address in
the address bar (IE: typing H:\ to get at my thumbdrive when it is in or F:\
to get at my DVD drive.)

Oh, and it seemed to turn off auto run. Any way to turn that back on?

I can't help with your problems, but I suggest you look at using a drive
imaging program such as Acronis True Image Home, version 10, to image the
system to an external hard drive. Always have a current image before making
system changes.

Ask yourself, what would you do if the hard drive crashed? How would you
recover? Can you afford the time loss with a non working system?

A drive imaging program with an external hard drive is low cost insurance.
You didn't say what version of Vista you have but the Business and Ultimate
versions of Vista come with Complete PC backup which is drive imaging and
works fine.
