Removal Tool and IE

I Google this query, but got no definite results, so I thought some of you
great MVP's might know something about this:
Every second Tuesday of the month I get the Malicious Software Removal
Tool updated automatically. Then, after it runs, I have a heck of a time
trying to open Windows Internet Explorer or anything else except Outlook
Express. This will continue for about 6 to 8 hours, then finally eveything
opens-up ok.
Is there any known problems between the Removal Tool and IE that may be
causing this to happen, or shoud I be looking for something else?
My System:
- Acer 2450 laptop
- Windows XP , Home , SP3
- Explorer 7
- Avast 4.8
- Windows Defender
- Ad-Aware 2008
- SUPERAntiSpyware(free)
* All updated and completely scanned, no problems found.
Thank-You !!!

You also read that old article printed in 2005. It was a joke and the Windows Malicious removal Tool has nothing to do with removing IE

Look for something else.

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827315

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use (in
conjuction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30,
http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22,
http://spywarehammer.com/simplemachi...php?board=10.0, or other
appropriate forums for review by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop.
