How to remove attachment but keep email?

Is it possible to delete an attachment in an email message on hotmail with
live messenger without deleting the email?
The emails contain information I need to keep, but the number and size of
attachments is huge and I have saved them to my HDD.

The way I do that is copy the content of the mail and paste it into
"send mail" that I send to myself. Then I delete the original mail

You could Forward the e-mail, right click on the attachment, click Remove.
Then either you .......
1. click SAVE to send it to Draft folder, then drag/drop it to the folder
you want, or
2. send it to yourself, then drag/drop.
The down-side is, either case, the header will show YOU as sender.

windows vista home/outlook express

when i try to forward message , message disappears and turns into an attachments.
i use to be able to click forward and edit same, but now i just get blank message screen, persons address,and an attachment
