Remove old contacts

Hi

Is there a contacts manager or wizard which can remove old and obsolete
contacts that no longer exist from your passport/live/msn messenger account!?

I have nearly 1000 contacts in my offline list, im sure at least half are no
longer online but im not sure which ones.

Would be great if there is a tool to find out when each account was last
logged into, wether the account has been closed or removed, so we can finally
clean up our contacts lists.

This would also save alot of space on the messenger network and hopefully
would become alot faster than what it already is!

There is such a feature in Messenger Plus Live (http://msgpluslive.net).
It tells you who actually has you in their list more easily than the
privacy options in messenger and you can do a bulk delete.

Hiya Scott

Yup just after sending this post i clocked it, and i've been using msg plus
for years with previous versions of msn messenger!

Just a shame i have to wait a couple of months so it has a good enough
report of which contacts never been online.

Copuld do with a tool that works with the .net servers for the messenger
service, to see if the accounts exist, have been expired or have not been
used for a while.
Although im sure this would cause privacy concerns.

True, when I used it, I just cleared out the people who no longer had me
on their list, reduced my list a wee bit
