Vista SP2

I have an external hard drive that's divided into 2 partitions. I want to
reformat the drive and eliminate the partitions. (Or do I say I want to have
only 1 partition?)

How do I get rid of the two partitions?

Thanks.

Just follow the prompts when you partition it.

Remove one partition and expand the other into the vacated space. The
partedmagic Live CD will easily do that for you.

Open Disk Management console:
In Search box type
diskmgmt.msc
Right click on diskmgmt.msc and 'Run as administrator'.

In your disk, you will see two partitions.

Select each partition and "Delete Volume".

In unalocated space create partiotion of your choice.
