I installed a new version on Acdsee.. and now when I right click on a folder
both version are still in the right click drop down.. I would like to get
rid of the old one, and while I'm at it there are other options I would like
to remove too.. for example winamp has 3 lines

Hi,
Context menu items can be removed by ediing the registry, see
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm Mistakes in registry editing
can be hazardous to your system.

ShellExView - free Shell Extension Manager For Windows:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html is a safe, easy wat to clean up
the context menu.

Hope this helps,

I downloaded the shell program and Acdsee was not to be found on the list.
Basically I want to remove this menu when right clicking on a folder. Winamp
has 3 in the menu, but also not on the list.. I was able to remove them from
within Winamp... but so far within Acdsee I can't remove the menu option

Sorry, I lost track of this thread.

It seems like ShellExView would have found it, but if the previous version
of ACDSee was uninstalled, you might search the registry for the exact
string (text) in the ACDSee context menu item. If found, backup the registry
and delete the entry.

If you decide to search for and remove the entry manually, be sure to backup
the registry.
