how to remove unwanted icon in system tray

I have uninstalled an incompatible program from vista, but the program icon
still appear in system tray.
Although i have disable the quick launch, but the icon still appear after
system reboot.

How to get rid of it in a hard way? Shall be in system tools but i still
cant get it.

Are there any remnants of the program other than the systray left on
the PC? Try using Ccleaner to remove the rest and repair the registry,
reboot and see if it's gone. If it's not search the PC for all files
and delete them manually, if you cannot delete them manually use
unlocker to get rid of them.

Open up Windows Defender > Tools > Software Explorer (you need administrator
privileges). Locate the program under start up entries, and disable or
remove it.
