Download AntiMalware from:
http://www.malwarebytes.org

Disable 100% your present antivirus.
Install and run a "Quick Scan" (takes ~20 min) using MalwareBytes
antimalware program.
Update MalwareBytes.
Run a "Complete Scan" (takes 1-2hours) using MalwareBytes antimalware
program.

Download the MalwareBytes program ONLY FROM THEIR SITE.
The malware writers will go to all lengths to phish their site or get you to
download a program with the same name but not from MalwareBytes.

This program has been recommended by several MVPs.

When that is completed,
Download Windows Security Essentials
Be sure that all real-time antivirus software on your computer has either
been deleted or 100% disabled.
Install Windows Security Essentials.
Run a complete Windows Security Essentials scan (takes 1-2 hours and I'll
be very surprised if it finds anything since you just scanned with
MalwareByte's Antimalware.

Windows Security Essentials is FREE, is from Microsoft, kept up-to-date, is
excellent.

I use only Windows Security Essentials, Windows Firewall, Win 7 Ultimate,
Office 2010 Beta.

Karl

Malwarebytes is excellent. Typically a quick scan is sufficient for most
users. It is important to scan your machine to ensure that there is no
password stealing malware on your computer. If after running it, you are
still concerned about any malware or viruses, the forums at
www.whatthetech.com or www.geegstogo.com both offer free assistance in
removing such nasties from your machine.

After you have made sure your machine is clean, please change the password
associated with your Live ID. Chances are your credentials have been
compromised and the messages are actually being sent from a remote server.
For more information on how this happens please see this post by Jonathan Kay
on avoiding phishing scams and staying safe in WLM.

Essentials would be a good addition to your machine, and be very careful
clicking any links in messages. Good luck!
