Hi, Stace.
As others have told you, you CAN revert to Windows XP, but it's not a
no-brainer. Chances are, reverting to Windows XP will take more time and
effort than learning how to use and enjoy Vista - and then you'll still be a
generation behind and still have the migration to Vista ahead of you. And
you'll be fearing and dreading the coming transition until you get it behind
you. The transition that millions of people have already made. And many -
probably most - of those people are not as computer-savvy as you. The
sooner you start up the Vista learning curve, the sooner you will be
comfortably past it. You already have it installed on your computer; that's
the biggest roadblock for most users.
If you'll tell us WHICH programs, we can probably help you run them in
Vista. A year ago, many of my favorites would not run in the beta versions
of Vista, but the programs (Nero, Photoshop Elements, and others) have been
updated with new versions and now run just fine in Vista.
