Removed Startup Program Keeps Loading

I am using Vista Home premium. I had added a 3rd party program (Freeram XP
Pro) to my startup folder. Growing weary of it always being blocked, I tried
to remove it from startup through Defender. I even refreshed the page so that
Defender looked for all users. However, when I reboot, the program remains in
my startup. I remove it again, bu it is always there... Any thoughts?

Cheers, Richard

Instead of removing it through Defender, try MSCONFIG. Open the Run command
(Win key + R) type msconfig hit enter. Click Continue on the UAC dialogue,
click Start up tab uncheck the entry for that particular program from start
up list. Click OK and restart.

Thanks Andre:

I went to MSCONFIG and under startup, the program is not even listed,
perhaps because I ermoved it again? I will look there the next time this
happens and try it your way.

Thanks, Richard

My only other recommendation would be to do a System Restore before the
program was installed.
