Removing Album Artwork

I own a fair amount of albums that Media Player 11 cannot find the
information for. Now I could go out of my way to find the album artwork and
paste it in, but I've decided to just leave them with no artwork and just
find the info on albums that can be found. Unfortunately, I accidentally
added the wrong album art on one of these unfindable albums. How do I get
rid of this art, and reset the album to it's “no album artwork” state?

This artwork is stored as separate JPG files, in the same folder where
the album tracks are. Deleting all JPG files you see there should remove
all artwork from the album (these files are usually hidden, so make
sure Explorer is set to show hidden files).

OK, so I found the album artwork JPGs, but as it tuns out this album is in
the same folder as another, and both albums share the album artwork. There
are other albums in the folder that had different artwork, so I tried
deleting the file and making sure to "find album info" on the correct album
alone, but the unfindable album was also given the cover art again. What
should I do to stop this (I'm hoping for an easier method than a
reorganization of my "My Music" folder and messing up playlists, ratings,
etc.)?

I guess that's because WMP created a folder.jpg file, which contains the
artwork that applies to all tracks in its folder. You could try deleting
this file, however, that may remove the artwork from the correct album
again too. In that case, the only solution is to put these albums in
different folders, so each album can have its own folder.jpg file (or no
folder.jpg if it shouldn't have artwork).
