Removing Arrows from Shortcuts

I have VISTA HOME PREMIUM 64 bit O/S

Is there a way I can create shortcuts on my desktop without having the
arrows showing?
I tried Shortcut Manager, but that is only working for 32 bit systems. I
searched for a 64 bit version but unable to find it.

Thanks in advance for your support and suggestions.

Try Method 2 from MVP Ramesh here:

How to remove or modify the Shortcut overlay in Windows Vista (Ramesh) -

Since Ramesh doesn't have you run a program to do this, the method should
work in Vista 64.

Thanks for the response.

I followed your instructions to the letter. However, I am still getting
arrows on my shortcuts after rebooting the computer.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

HankL

IIRC you made an identical post in a separate thread and that poster
suggested you try the 64-bit version Framework FxVisor. If that doesn't
work, I'm sorry but I don't have any other ideas.
