Removing Logitech from vista after upgrade from XP

Can anyone tell me if removing all Logitech files, then Deleting the Logitec
in the registry (hkey-local-machine / software) will get rid of it and will
it cause other problems. Uninstall will not work, and Logitech just ignores
my queries (for over 2 months and counting) so any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Are you having a problem installing Mouseware? There's a workaround for
Vista if that is what the problem is.

The problem is I can't install a new keyboard because the install program
sees the
iTouch as a conflict and stops. I had installed a Logitech mx3200 with a
laser mouse but it worked for a month or so, then screwed up similar to the
iTouch, thus my reason for wanting to change to another manufucaturer.

Yes, and the lack of real support from Logitech is turning a lot of people

Logitech will respond and fix your problem, unfortunately if you're
past 30 you may not have sufficient life expentancy to see the fix. :-(

I'm in the same boat, they released a new SetPoint version with exactly
the same bugs as before!

You can do exactly what you suggest, create a restor point first or a
backup, then do a search for files and folders, look for Logitech and
again for SetPoint or Mouseware (whichever you were using), delete them
and then use regedit and search for the same names and delete those
keys.

Now reboot and do NOT install any Logitech software on Vista if you can
help it, use the included drivers or, if they don't work, I've had
success using MSFT's IntelliPoint software. You'll have to experiment
with different devices to get your stuff to work but if you can find
the right combination, it'll work to perfection! I've a MX400
Performance Laser Mouse and I told Intellipoint it was a Intellimouse
Explorer 3.0 which has the same buttons and.... they all work!

I've been using the Logitech setpoint software for months on my Vista Home
Premium system. It was first with an MX5000 keyboard and my wirelss
Trackman mouse. I've ditched the keyboard and now use a Microsoft keyboard
but still use the Trackman mouse. After a couple of months of using the MS
keyboard, now the logitech "lusbsys.fil" is causing a problem and the system
restarts now and then. I've removed the setpoint software but that results
in the loss of all the expanded functions of the Trackman which is a great
mouse I'm not willing to give up. This workaround you mentioned - is it to
install the Mouseware software for XP on a Vista system?

You have Mouseware working on Vista? Vista 32 or 64 bit? I thought
Mouseware did not work on Vista at all?

No luck on the register. Removed everything but 2 that it wouldn't give me
access to and still getting conflict notice when I try to install the
Microsoft keyboard. Any other suggestions? Please!
